Kissing Vancouver Couple Remixed

16 Jun

By now, everyone has seen the famous photo of the kissing Vancouver couple from the riots last night (which is apparently a fake. UPDATE: Or it may not be! The plot thickens.) As Mashable pointed out, this picture is ripe for a meme. So let’s have at it, shall we?

I’m glad that i’m not the only one that sees the phonyness of that so called kiss. It screams fakeness. If at least they had the courage to kiss on their feet. This is a mimick of love and the women goes along with it i don’t know for what reason. It irks me that people in general can’t see real from fake.

Apparently she was hurt, and he was comforting her. Not kissing at all just holding her. There’s also the photo taken from above of others standing around, which I guess would explain the “she was hurt” theory. It’s too hard to tell, and obviously they people involved will say it wasn’t staged, and there will always be doubters. So why not have fun with it.

Because i don’t think it’s funny. That is why it bothers me. It’s the equivalent of saying that there was a riot because these people were hangry. Hangry about what? About having too much food and running water and expensive clothing…..I’m not angry myself i just see the whole thing as a lack of emotional warmth and the sigh of a tepid nation…..

By the way angry does not take an h…..Shame on me………

We live in a society where we take things like food and indoor plumbing and clothing for granted. There’s no way around that; those are just things we expect to have. And I don’t think that factored into the riots at all. I think what did factor in was the chance, perhaps the only chance, for those particular people to act out the way they did. At no other point will they have the chance to lash out like they were able to that night. As a big sports fan, I understand what those fans felt when their team lost the way they did. As a human being, I cannot begin to understand the thought process those same fans went through when deciding to set fire to cars and smash windows. Having the opportunity to be upset about something so trivial as the result of a game is both a blessing and a curse of living in this type of society.

I agree with you’re last sentence. It is really a type of society we live in. True there are different types of societies. Our acts very strangely indeed..
