World Cup Results for June 15

15 Jun

The first two games this morning seemed to be pretty dull, although it was good to see that Drogba played, broken arm and all. New Zealand’s stoppage time goal salvaged them a point, making that game slightly exciting. The Brazil/North Korea game was entertaining, and it seems as though the North Korean keeper put on quite a show to keep them in the game. Brazil pulled away with two second half goals after a scoreless first half, but it was good to see North Korea earn a goal at the end of the game. It didn’t really help their cause, but scoring against Brazil is a huge accomplishment for them.

Game Summaries

New Zealand 1:1 Slovakia

Côte d’Ivoire 0:0 Portugal

Brazil 2:1 North Korea
